aka Zurich West… 😉
Yesterday I took another stroll through Zurich’s good old industrial playground. And let’s be honest—if you’ve got a camera in hand, there’s no escaping the gravitational pull of the Prime Tower. At 126 meters, it’s Zurich’s tallest building and basically shouts “shoot me!” from every angle. That sparkling aquamarine glass? Gorgeous, sure—but set against the natural blue sky, it almost looks like someone slapped a giant cube onto the photo in Photoshop. Very subtle, Prime Tower.
Now, enter its slightly shorter but way grittier cousin: the Swissmill Tower. Just 8 meters shy of the title (118m) and clearly built with a “function first, looks optional” approach. Glamorous? Not quite. Iconic? Oh, absolutely. You really couldn’t ask for a more mismatched architectural odd couple.
And then, as a quirky little bonus at the end of my walk, I stumbled upon the so-called Sihl Monster. Way less bling, zero skyscraper ambitions—but full of character. Oddly charming, really. I think we’d get along
